You would have less music, less movies, and less software. Quality would go down in all three categories as well. So how would you expect them to make any money?

In all seriousness, I'm an audio nerd. I like good sounding audio. I don't know too much about it, but I'm learning. One thing I do know is that MP3s suck. They really suck. So much that when I spend a few grand on a nice sound system I'm going to buy the cds of all the music I like so I can rip them into loss less formats. Now tell me, how is that hurting anyone if I'm taking a test drive of the music for the next 10 years?
