other hobbies

Well, I added my first little fish today. Wanted two but they were out of the other one i wanted:eek: Maybe Friday. This one is a little lady cichlid by the name of Bonnie! She is about a 1 month old Convict cichlid. Shots below. I was lucky to get such a good one. Not real shy and fed about 2 hours after i placed her in the tank. Her colors came back pretty quick after i added her to the tank too. Very Healthy!!

I got lucky and found a small Firemouth cichlid about the same size. Both are doing good but the firemouth is shy so no pictures yet. Both love bloodworms and brine shimp and small cichlid sticks. Will try and get a couple of shots soon.

Finally got shots of the firemouth. Not too much showing of the mouth with red but its faint in color. I am wondering what i find on my list next?

I had to get another fish to stop the fighting between the Convict Cichlid and the Firemouth Cichlid. I Was able to get a Albino Oscar. Just the right size for the tank mates. First thing the oscar did was to chase the firemouth around the tank a couple of times. He gets along with the convict just fine. But he is training the firemouth to quit picking on the convict. So for now we have peace in the tank. Another thing, They are out from the rocks more than the way they were. Shot of all three below.

My next little fishy is coming in today or tomorrow. She is a beautiful little Busheynosed Catfish. Not a plain one, but a really beautiful fishy. She is Yellow and Blue eyed!!!

In terms of buying a pet, it may have to be a rabbit. I'm allergic to cats, yet that's a pity. Cats can live more than 16 years, and are one of the most popular pets ever.

It has been hiding pretty well as its about 1 1/4" long. Saw it today for a bit but not yesterday. Sure is a pretty looking fish for a catfish..

Some of the fish i have can live 15-20 years. Some i have heard can live over 30 years.:whistling:
