Ya, I didn't see anything about the US affecting the UK in anyway in that article, regardless the US is also in a world of hurt as well, it happening all over the world.

Its not the US directly, UK banks thought they could make some quick cash by borrowing from insurance companies and lending to very poor areas in the US which the borrowe couldn't pay back and so we are in trouble
