Default Is it ok send a cellphone through a security x ray machine?

Will security x rays erase or damage cell phones or cellphone batteries in any way?

I know a metal detector is probably bad because It uses a magnetic field. but how a bout x rays?

The power levels for security x-ray machines is very low and has not been known to cause damage. If it did there would be a overwhelming amount of lawsuits over it.
