Default Nvidia stepping down in gaming, Intel stepping up?

The Wii, and the 360 both using ATI, and only the PS3 using the nvidia. Now Sony decided to not go with nvidia, but instead go with Intel. Without Sony using nvidia, then it is blacklisted off of the gaming consoles.

I wonder if Intel would make decent GPUs, they already make great CPUs and Mobos.

For Sony's sake, they better hope Intel can pull it off.

Intel has always done well in the past. They somehow always manage to pull it together. I wish AMD did stuff like this.

yeah, i just remembered that Intel made mostly on-board graphics.
I thought that AMD bought ATI, or they both formed together.

Will the PS4 carry Larrabee in some shape or form, maybe?

I meant AMD makes card through AMD, not ATI.

I'm pretty excited to see what Intel has to offer, hopefully some sort of groundbreaking new architecture.

EDIT: Another thing to add. The GPGPU concept that Nvidia has, I think is brilliant. As all of us know, the throughput of a graphics card is FAR greater than that of a CPU. If we could get programs to operate off of GPU processing power, just imagine what we could do..
