Now what's the general opinion of me, as to the way I lead my private life?, doddering around my home, [I don't dodder] sitting, gazing into the middle distance, half asleep, listening to a classical music CD, I like classical music, yes, but I also like Elvis Presley, & some of today's bands & groups, then, ta- ra, last night on the Jonathon Ross show, I saw New York Dolls perform, it was bl**dy mind blowing, this Jagger look-alike, wearing a pink silk turban, the guy on the drums, in seconds I was mesmerised, playing an imaginary set of drums, it's been years since I experienced anything like that, when I was about 18, I used to go regularly to the local dance hall, especially when they had guest bands like Ted Heath, & once Stan Kenton came over from the States, it was the era of the big bands, & I loved it, I didn't dance, I wormed my way to the front, & stood a couple of feet away from Ted & Stan, feet tapping, getting autographs, but boy, New York dolls!!!
