Default need to whiten yellowed rubber.

Putting this in the 'social lounge' as it's not really a computer question. although it applies...

I just bought a used ultrabook that I want to give as a gift. It's in absolute perfect condition except for a little rubber gasket that goes around the edge of the lid, meant to seal it shut.

The gasket is supposed to be a light grey but I've realized its become really yellowed and dirty looking. I don't know if the previous owner smoked around it or what.

I'm trying to clean it up. I've tried: 90% isopropyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, 409 cleaner, and diluted bleach. Nothing seems to phase it at all. any other suggestions?

Have you tried a Magic Eraser? Those things can work wonders.
