My new "phone" came in today

Cheap kind of batterys. Mine can handle down to -50 or better. Thats from the book. Never got that cold here but i can tell you that there are a lot of folks up in mid-north to northeast having cold temps in -# were still working. Think they need to change battery types.
 
They must have as they expected those temps.

At home we never used the furnace but I have a heater in my room. My sis and her dickhead son just bundle up. As a result we can't arm the security system because it's to cold for the battery.

It'll kick out with "low battery". When it warmed up it works fine.
 
Go with agm or lithium. Pricy but they can handle the cold better. Lithium is most expensive but handles cold much better.

When my agm's die i am going with lithium's. Pricy but 4 6volt will last forever.
 
This one hell of a funny thread. If only i could use the weather as an excuse not to go to work!. I am planning on doing it soon in the near future.
