Default My new "phone" came in today

This is what I got:

Flat, nothing, nada etc but there's a sheet in there:

Now I have a riddle for y'all, what's wrong about this?

Think a minute and you'll get it.

You're on the right track but not it. Think again.

Dammit, I got it. It's MINUS 22 there. Now I know what's going on. It's too cold to put the phone out in the streets. Since it's going through Amazon he doesn't have my email (at least I don't think he does).

I looked up the area code and found it's around Detroit. Looked up the weather forecast there and it's warming up the following week so it'll be safe to send it. They did had some nasty weather. I'm glad he didn't send it then.

It affects the battery. It's no problem with people using it in the cold because their body heat will keep it safe.

In the cargo area of the delivery truck it'll freeze.

Lithium are designed to work on low temps. My outdoor part of the weather station uses lithium battery's so it will continue to work in cold or even extreme cold. What are they talking about??

At 22 below?

Clipped from Google:

"Best temperature range for Li-ion batteries ( Because most of the smartphones having Li-ion batteries) is 10 degree to 30 degree Celsius. Its operated temperature range is from 0 degree to 45 degree."

Cheap kind of batterys. Mine can handle down to -50 or better. Thats from the book. Never got that cold here but i can tell you that there are a lot of folks up in mid-north to northeast having cold temps in -# were still working. Think they need to change battery types.

They must have as they expected those temps.

At home we never used the furnace but I have a heater in my room. My sis and her dickhead son just bundle up. As a result we can't arm the security system because it's to cold for the battery.

It'll kick out with "low battery". When it warmed up it works fine.

Go with agm or lithium. Pricy but they can handle the cold better. Lithium is most expensive but handles cold much better.

When my agm's die i am going with lithium's. Pricy but 4 6volt will last forever.

I doubt there'll be one that fit. It's a weird battery.

Check batterys plus. Don't have to get it there but find out options on type of battery that fit.
