My new dsktop backgrounds

So I was messing around in GIMP...... and made these:

Can we have a quick break down of your process for doing something like that?

The first one was done with the cloud rendering tool, then I zoom blurred it, and made two layers from it, and then I used the whirl and pinch tool to spin them in opposite directions to different amounts, then I used the lighten only thing and merged them. I added color with the curves tool.

The second one is a lot easier. I used the flame tool to make that design, then curves to bring out the subtle background parts, then curves to add colors.

There are so many different backgrounds you can get following those steps its crazy. Like for the second one a few settings and you can have a lot more or less, and the first one can have TONS of different things going on. GIMP is so much fun.
