Im currently on my laptop which is a compaq that sometimes got to 202F and inititates a instant shutdown. My guess is that many hps ARE very hot natured. I started trying a program called Notebook Hardware Control to fix a few problems http://www.pbus-167.com and lowered the cpu speed when not in use.

Diglett get off that chair! You'll scare the neighbors because that doesn't make sense.
