Ok guys, got the list. Found it easier just to record it. Gotta love that dash cam. :)

Yesterday the local cable company suffered a city wide outage. They say it was a cut fiber optic cable. It's more like the head end went out. Been out for 24hrs so far.
We just called and the tech said the entire city will have to be rebooted as the decoder boxes are not syncing up. Then a tech will have to come out and individually reboot every box.
What a load of BS! I had to pay to get the trunk line inside the building replaced and all the taps. Big bucks. And it comes down to this?
It's sad when the outgoing head tech that did the work said this was all new to them. All the digital stuff, that is.
REALLY!?! REALLY!?! REALLY!?!

That is so much BS. All I had to do was unplug my box, wait a few seconds and then plug it back in. Well, I'm through with their TV. :trash:

I've since hooked up that TV to the roof top antenna and it's doing fine. I bolted the rabbit ear outside next to my bedroom window and hooked my TV up. That's doing fine too. I plan to get a simple outdoor antenna that bolt to the wall. Even found the antenna thanks to DTV USA forum.

Is there a service that's repeating some of the cable channels on the air? Or is there that many stations in your city?

Each channel have sub-channels and it can be from 1 to 6. There are 18 channels available to us (in my area code), each with their sub-channels. Some of them were on cable but not all (I don't think). Some are independent channels.

They are over the air so they're free. After I trimmed my channels I got:

04. 1-2
05. 1-3
09. 1-2-3-4
12. 1-2
17. 3
23. 3-5
24. 2
26. 1-2-3
29. 1-2
35. 1
41. 2-3
60. 3

That's out of total of 49 channels I scanned. Some are digital and some analog. Also VHF and UHF.

This is what I scanned:

Well I'm stuck with cable or satellite. Being 15 minutes from the river makes the terrain pretty rough around here. According to the web antenna site it's too rough for reliable HDTV transmission.

Another reason to add to my "I hate this place" list.

Sorry to hear that. It does depend on the terrain unless you can get your antenna real high up there.
