i think this could actually tell you if you need to clean out your mouse cuz the pointer could be going up and down if the ball is dirty.

the mouse would have to be quite dirty to do that.
And I imagine most of the people here don't have the ball in their mouse anymore, even I have an optical mouse.

i had a ball mouse till like 3 months ago and that happened quite alot

Lol, you can see the white text if you look at the monitor from an angle--at least on my monitor. I want to see what is says, so I scrolled across. Man, that's funny.

I had one too for a very long time, got this mouse about 4 months ago or so. But I loved my ball mouse, lol, never had any problems with it and couldn't stop scoring headshots in games.
