Moped hire in spain..majorca..

Ok, well im off to majorca in August..yey!

Our villa is pretty far from the town, and there is a bus, but it stops at 11PM..

So, I cant be staying at bars and clubs all night, if I have no way of walking that 10 miles..and im not walking it drunk..

So, scooter!

Anyone know any companies, in majorca, in which I can hire from..?

I found "Med-ped" and sent them this email..

I am visiting Majorca, on August 19th 2006, for two weeks, and I am turning 16, on July 7th 2006, so legally, I am allowed to ride scooters, on public roads.

However, I have a few simple questions, in which I would be most grateful if you could answer.

Firstly, I have not got a CBT, and would this affect me hiring a scooter?

Secondly, is there a deposit I will have to pay?

Thirdly, I am free to use the scooter whereever I want?

Also, if there is a deposit, how would I lost it..i.e damage, loss etc..

So, the situation is this..

I am visiting majorca for two weeks, and I will be 16, and would like to hire a scooter, I do have a provisional licence, but not a CBT test, and wish to hire a little 50cc scooter for one week, maybe two, that is yet to be decided..

U could try contacting a tourist info and ask them about local companies.
And well driving a scooter when u are drunk... well it depends, if u really know what u are doing then I think it's fine, but normally I don't recommend driving when drunk.

Noo, I wouldn't do it when im drunk mate, dont worry! I am fantastic on scooters and motorbikes though..but im not going to try it, that whole being drunk thing was a joke, although the legal drinking age over there is 16, so I will be drunk some nights..it's just right! Anyway, I shall try that, I didn't think of it!

Ha! I wish, it's high on a hill, pretty hidden away, pool, all that, I might take my computer over this time if we can fit it in the car, I dont fancy it though, we're taking the plane..
