I mean I know this sounds obvious, but maybe the shadows were casted by lights on the space shuttle? I don't know... they are closer than the sun, so wouldn't they cast shadows? Sounds too obvious to be true lol.

I don't believe the US gov would risk somthing like that to fake it. AS some stated it was done in a vuccom tight studio. Thing is technology toe ven hold a vuccum that large didn't exist. Even today it would be quite a undertaking! The vuccom was present, it was also shot on crappy film (by today's standards) I don't believe its fake. I believe it 100% real. I heard you could aim the hubble telescope at the moon and even take pictures of the stuff we left behind.
