Giancarlo. How am I being emotional by defending Linux? By the looks of it, I'm the one providing an arguement here, and you're the one who is resorting to emotional clamors to try and rebute me.
Gentoo's portage system makes is much easier to deal with files and use everything. Gentoo also adapts the kernel specifically to every piece of hardware to optimize performance.
Have you ever set up an internal server? I have, and it's really easy to do with Linux. Simply emerge samba (a server program, kinda like apache, expect for internal purposes), set your internal IP to be accesable (very easy to do), and then from my laptop (which is on XP), I simply add a new network place, and access the Linux box. This means my laptop can make full use of the 320 gig's of HD space my linux box has.
All I'm doing here is defending Linux. So far, I have not seen an arguement from your side. So how can you call me biassed, unrational, etc. I'm just defending the OS that I like (believe me, I like both Windows and Linux, but I just hate it when people think Windows is the "best and only", because it's not).
