Rubber314Chicken Golden Master Messages 5,574 Nov 8, 2008 #117 I get -1. you get a 6 for that. Otherwise it'd be a 7

For those that are too lazy to work it out x(2x-1)/3y-z Let x=-4, y=3, and z=5 = -4(2(-4)-1)/3(3)-5 = -4(-8-1)/9-5 = -4(-9)/4 = 36/4 = 9 Click to expand...

JogaBonito1502 Guru Messages 7,841 Location U.S. Nov 8, 2008 #119 Teny...on the computer your equation fails. You do division before subtraction so you'd divide by 9 then subtract 5. You need parenthesis...5/10.

Click to expand... so in computer wise, there's no such thing as algebra? because in algebra, there is automatically parenthesis there (if there's division), and from what i have seen, the let x=x are algebraic terms.
