Default Media Center "Thing"

just looking through some hardrive enclosures and found this

now for the past 2 years i have downloaded films and played them through my laptop onto my t.v before i burned them to disk, just incase they skipped in the middle or missed a bit out or something.

now im thinking this could be my perfect replacement so let me get this right.

i by a seperate hardrive plug it into my desktop load all my songs / films on there plug the hardrive into this new device and plug the device into my tv using something liek scart lead ?

( or transfer files by USB connection what eva is simplest)

and assuming this little contraption has its own mini OS it should load up and have options like /

music / movies / pics then i can go into them and play them correct ?

also do you think it as a record feature so i can record t.v onto it ?

the description is not very clear so what do you guys think it looks like a bargain at 35

if it does what i think it does im def gonna buy it

Sounds like a neat idea, but I wouldn't trust an off brand like that...

yea, you unscrew it, insert a hard drive, and then close it up, and use usb interface, along with the other media types it has to put information on it.

and I highly doubt it has a record feature.
