Making a successful Website

Alright, I've helped people create websites before, Admined a few, Modder alot, But never really made one of my very own. I'm good at web design and whatnot, And I want to make a website to incorporate anime/games/technology. (Or three seperate ones)

Does anyone have any advice to starting a good one? I have the money for domains, and possibly hosting If I can find good prices. Only problem is I wouldn't know how to advertise my website, Or even sell Ad space if I were to have banners (No popups, those icky) lol

But yeah, I've always wanted to Be a Webmaster, It would Be another thing to add to my Resume aswell.

It's very hard. You need to gain the trust of people, before telling them about your forum. When I first came here, my first intention was to spam the heck out of this place with my [now dead] site. Then I used my head.
