Looking for a good Camcorder

Just wanting something that shoots good quality, decent price($150-$350), good size... something that i can take anywhere and do almost anything with, i have a kid on the way and want to be able to record the things my family and i do together... and im not very educated about cameras and camcorders... as of right now my wife has the cannon rebel eos for quality pics, i have a waterproof olympus stylus tough digital camera to take to the beach to get in the water with and now we need something to just take on fun little family trips or just for random stuff... any and all suggestions are greatly apperciated

Been a while since I've looked into cameras. I know in the industry they still use film but I think finally in consumer cameras, digital has passed up MiniDV cameras.

Canon makes some of the best out there....have a look at them.

I have a Sony DSC-H5X, it isn't a camcorder, but it takes really good videos, and is much smaller than most camcorders out there.
