Is there any software that I can use to make a logo?

I am doing a school yearbook and have been asked to make a logo for it so i was wondering if and what is the best software to make a logo instead of me drawing it out?

Xara 3d is a cool program to make 3D text and effects, but you might be looking for something a bit more advanced. Check it out though, you might like it.

this is the mostly used program for editing and making it yourself.

Photoshop 7 and Corel Paintshop 8

I think Photoshop is by far the best out there, for everything to do with image editting and graphical designing, very good
