I have a whole plan if the CIA or FBI knock on my door
I would run up to my computer, rip out my hdd and plug in my old one, and hide it...hehehe.

But..I am getting worried of how serious they are of finding these people using p2p illegaly. I have limewire pro and bearshare pro, and i'm not really proud of stealing music. But i do buy like 99% of all my programs and games, and i buy the cds of my favourite artists to support them. My dad was tellin me a few days ago that Canada is getin serious about it, and he's worried and tellin me to get rid of the evidence, lol. He probably would have a bigger fine that me though.
Does anyone have any info on what Canada is doin about this problem now?

oh yeah, it's definitly illegal, but they aren't going to pay much attention to you unless you are sharing like a whole lot of files. I think when they were busting people on kazaa they said something like over 1,000 files. if you aren't sharing that much I wouldn't worry about it, millions of people use it every day with no probs.

If you use cracked programs then for crying out loud STOP bragging about it. We don't like that sort of talk here. You're getting on my last nerve about this. Take a hint...

talkin about illegal things like malicious hacking and cracking of software etc isnt smiled upon in the forums... and when i say smiled up i mean is frowned upon so badly tll probably get ur account disabled for some time

as for the P2P thing, theyre tracking down users who are sharing kiddie porn here in Oz. theres big busts on that been going on for the last few months. big stuff!

Its not illegal to have the program, it is illegal to download / share copyrighted files.

Yeah its an awful lot...

I'm sure some of them are legitiment users though and do use the P2P programs the way they were meant.

I'm wondering though why they didn't think this sort of thing was going to happen when they started building them. Did Kazaa for instance know, but they used the fact of legitimate use as a type of loop hole to let them do it? Get what I mean?
Or seriously, did they not know?
