Hey guys. I have to admit I am 17 years old, and I am younger than probably a lot of you. I thought I would say that to eliminate any confusion in the future lol ^^;;

I was wanting to know if, and how many, people here work with computers day to day. And I mean like as a career or profession.

I ask this cause at 17, and being a senior in high school with about a 3.2 GPA (and I haven't taken the ACT yet, but I do play on the first 3 months of my senior year) and I don't know what I want to do. I know I can't pay for my college because... well simply... we aren't the richest people around here. But I wanted to know how easy it is to get a job/career with computers without a college degree. I know a good bit about computers, but I try to read a lot on here to get better and better. I want to get certified too. One of my best friends is MCSE and maybe A+ or C++ or something... I don't know them all, but he is certified in many ways.

But... Yeah I am just a teen with a profession problem and I was just wondering ^^;;

Errr, your a good year or two older then most.

Although, there are a few older guys.

Anyways, im 15. And i have thought about this before. I really gotta say, the funnest and easiest would be to get parts in bulk, make and sell on Ebay with the Reserve at least $100 higher then your break even point.

Other then that, im sure it really wouldnt be that hard to go to local tech shop and apply for computer repair and building.

actually, you would be surprised how many younger people that you there is here, with the exception of a few (brookfield, who is 75, and a few other ppl), and most people here are between 13 and 20, me being 13.

Well thanks man. And I guess I will just keep trying to work at it.

My laptop sucks, lol. But I am getting a custom desktop around the end of summer.

I am not a noob -.-; Just not as advanced as maybe, some of you.

No no no. Stick around here, learn to build your own. Trust me, this forum is different when it comes to asking a load of quetsions. Most forums, screw you over, this one answers them all.

If you want to get into computing, such as building them, stick around, and make your own at the end of the summer

I'm 16 years old, I work on PCs day to day as a living. Granted its slow atm cause I just started up. But BUILD YOUR PC! For me even if I could buy the things cheaper then I could build them, I'd still build them for one its a exp in itself. I know the workman ship. I know all the issues with it and I know everything about it. Also 9.9/10 its cheaper. There is like only a few sites in this world that can beat my prices.

A lot of kids here have put every single penny they got into their rigs. I know me i've put quite a bit and am fairily broke, BUT I HAVE A GOOD PC

bama.. does whatever state you're living in have a statewide scholarship thing for kids? like florida does i know [bright futures..]. but i mean seriously dont let money be the only thing keeping you from going to college. we're not exactly the richest either [ie everything has to be paid for for me], but yeah im going.. just another solution. ps- im 17 too :]]]
