on 24/7 in winter, restart once a week, in the summer off at night unless I"m going something.

I always turn my off at night and then switch it on when I need it but then it stays on till the evening

I usually turn mine off every night. The room gets very hot with 2 PC's running within it throughout the day, and opening the window doesn't seem to help much.

The only times I leave it on, is if its rendering something complex, and I'd prefer not to watch it do it, plus give it all the cores/memory to use.

I find if I leave my computer on for too long, the speed starts to degrade somehow. Its noticable anyways

A few days ago when I was installing my sound card. Other than that, its on hibernation mode.

on 24\7. doesnt hurt it. its not like your hardware wasnt made to do its job

my desktop is always turned off when not in use. my laptop is always hibernated.
in this day and age theres no point leaving them on with the cost of electricity

an idle PC takes up probably as much as 2 60 watt light bulbs, how many times have you left on in your house? lots of times
