Default Just got a Mac! (need some help)

Ok simply wondering what are some necessary programs i should get for my Mac. I am totally new to the Mac world, so any suggestions would help out.

Any sites that offer paid and free mac software?

As for accessories, wheres the best place to buy them?

What's up with you and Parallels? Why would you need to run it?

My girlfriend got a Mac, and once you get used to it, they're really nice for the basic office uses. If they weren't so overpriced, I'd probably think about getting one.

You can't beat the customization of a PC though.
