Malaysian Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar expressed here Wednesday "deeply shocking"over the Israeli bombing of a UN border outpost in Lebanon, killing four UN peacekeeping observers.

BEIRUT, Lebanon (CNN) -- The U.N. observers killed when an Israeli bomb hit their bunker in Lebanon Tuesday called an Israeli military liaison about 10 times in the six hours before they died to warn that aerial attacks were getting close to their position, a U.N. officer said.

The U.N. observers said the area within half a mile of the post was hit with precision munitions, including 17 bombs and 12 artillery shells, four of which directly hit the post Tuesday, the report said.

I was amazed at when I heard this. This personnally makes me feel Isreal is being reckless one report said that the outpost had been there since the 1970s! It wasn't a new outpost it would of been on all the maps that the Isreal gov had. And they even talked to the Isreal army and said "HEY LOOK YOUR SHOOTING AT US STOP!" But Isreal kept on bombing.

See how effective and accutrate their bombings are, as well as avoiding hitting civlians and UN bases.

thats mean, like why dont u guys just stop going at the holy war, or attacking peacekeepers, i guess they havent thought of PEACEFUL ways to calm down

isreal deliberatley attacked that post. it was an all day attack on a known UN position, the UN personnel phoned quite a few times to warn them that they were shooting near the UN position. did they listen, no, they carried on trying to blow it up. the end result, 4 unarmed observers dead.


and all this is fine by the US government. they are even smuggling bombs to isreal to support them.


in this war. im all for hesbullah, IMO, isreal going after civvies is totally wrong. they should be targeting the tunnel networks hesbullah use, not the civvies of lebannon.

US is not smuggling bombs into Isreal they are delivering them. And its not a holy war and I agree with Isreal attacking back however you don't hit a UN outpost. I'm sorry this may not of have been on purpose but seriously its a idiotic mistake. Sure I could see how maybe if the outpost was NEW and the first missle was misfired and hit it or even a few missles before UN got ahold of them and said hey stop!

UN CALLED THEM AND WENT STOP YOUR FIRING ON THIS AREA. ISREAL DID NOT STOP.

The whole thing is a disgrace. People need to just set their differences aside, and come to a cease-fire. Innocent people are dying everyday.
