Does Computerforums.org have an IRC channel?

If not, can I create one for it?

Why can't we just have a shoutbox or something on the front page? That only registered members can use...it's been on some other forums and works fine.

it's difficult to moderate a shoutbox, and if you want to just put up some kind of shouts then just use the chit chat thread,

IRC channels that require IRC clients usually die these days, if you want an IRC channel to work write a java client that can be embedded in a web page.
