I have an Inspiron 9400 which is exactly the same shape and size as an XPS M1710 but without all the cool XPS logos and lights etc. I have found out that it is possible to buy all the XPS M1710 plastics and switch them with the 9400 and they will fit, but apparently to get the lights to work you need the XPS motherboard, is there any thing else that can be done? Does anyone know much about this? Thanks
Apparently to get the lights working you solder the connector onto a usb socket, anyone know much about this sort of thing?
