I want to share an experience

it's the same here.

get stopped and get a road side breath test, (if the officer thinks that you may have been drinking).

fail that test and get taken to the station for a proper accurate test. because roadside tests aren't admissible.
(and it's an offence here to fail to provide a sample too failure to provide a sample carries pretty much the same penalty as drink driving, -since there is only really one reason that you'd fail to provide a sample...)

all that messing about is pointless, either breathalyser a person or don't.

physical sobriety tests show how co-ordinated, or how mentally competent a person is, not necessarily how sober they are. and they are wasting time, time that the suspect is sobering up in.

as far as loosing a license/job/career. if you're drink driving, then good, you deserve that, and more.

And following on from this, there have been many cases where people have been 2 or 3 times over the limit and can still act perfectly sober on the face of it!
