Default I just got a(nother) domain!

http://redfern.me/ - Redfern is my last name. I quite like these .me domain names - Not ALL that many people have them, and they have as short TLD.

Do any of you guys have your last name as a domain?

Personaly I would never use my real name as part of a domain name.
Or as a screen name for that matter.
Call me parinoid, but it just doesn't sound like a good idea IMHO.

Well, the thing is, you have to provide your name and address for the WHOIS database.. It's not an option. The type of person that would be using your last name for fraud would proberbly allready know that their name is in the WHOIS database.

Their are some privacy features on certain domain sales sites where they'll register the domain in their name so your name isn't put on the data base but they normally cost.

Aren't .me domains relatively costy? What are you gunna use it for?

It was $15. I will be using it for Email (Google app's for domains FTW), and also as a portfolio of some sort.

The privacy things are pretty cool, but AFAIK you still have to use your name
