i found some free 3d modeling software !!!

It wants to call home as soon as you open the program. The templets and help files are on line. The download is 19megs but when you get it installed it's 40 megs. It wants to phone home while you're installing it.
And the freebie is limited in what it can do.
I took it for a spin last night and it's real primitive. A good primer for photoshop or the gimp. But not much else.

Probably to tell them your trying it most likely.

Looks okayish, but I'm probabaly not going to try it. Does seem pretty basic.

Has anyone here tried Anim8or yet?

That seems alot more complex, and would allow you to do more stuff most likely, and offers basic animating of bones, with scenes, and key framing.

As you'll see from the galleries section, and the new videos section, you can do quite alot with it :p

its SketchUp, now called Google SketchUp... it wasnt developed by google in any way, but was recently purchased by them, and there is IMO a really great, completely free version of it now available. Really easy to use, lol not like gimp or maya, etc...

If you have ZA it will tell you during the install of the program it wants to connect to google. After you get it installed it wants to connect to google again.

We used it in class last year. It was kind of glitchy and was hard to get it to do what you want. Crashed several times. I didn't really like it but some of the things people do with it are pretty cool
