Cool I created the cheapest computer!

Ok the mission of the day for me was to create the cheapest computer on newegg. So i spent awhile and finally got it.

Here she is:
2.13 ghz celeron D
256mb DDR 400 ram
80gig SATA hard drive
CD Burner
64mb AGP video card
550 watt power supply
2 tone mouse
Beige keyboard
speakers complete with a subwoofer
and a generic $10 pc white case

Total cost $206.65
Keep in mind no OS was included
and no monitor, the cheapest monitor LCD on newegg is $146 for a 17"

well, this shows how much you can build a system for on a budget.

Nice. That actually wouldn't be bad if you just check e-mail or do billing stuff.

pretty decent system in my opinion. Not a gaming rig but good for basic day to day tasks I'd say, and for an OS you could put a free version of linux or solaris or something. I'm thinking about getting an old, cheap laptop for linux stuff (something like a P3 or possibly older celeron).

anyways that's neat! I think the cheapest I've built on newegg was in the 400 dollar range.
