You're right of course, but have you noticed how about a week later after these huge storms, we get what the forecasters call the "tail-end" of them, weakened to about 40mph winds but enough to do some structural damage.

yes I do wasnt one like that, that knocked down the great oaks at severn oaks a few years ago?

Yes, but what about the one in the eighties where up to a million trees were brought down.
