They were powerful.. but they had the tendency of overheating constantly.. thank goodness for Bell Labs in developing the transistor.

Well you can even go as small as your cell phone.. which can store all sorts of things and you can play games on them.. even a cell phone is better and faster then a vaccuum tube computer that took up football fields.

Accualy a modern scientific calculator is sometimes more advanced then the tube or light comptuters of the 50's 60's.
