How to make a podcast?

I want to make a little video podcast for my Totally-iPod site but I'm not sure where to begin.

Making the video is easy, hosting the video file is easy, I don't know here else to go. I've looked online but can't find anything that helps out.

PS: I don't know nothing about RSS.

you create the video, not sure about format (I used to help run compcast) and then you post it in a blog. You use the RSS feed generated for that specific label only applied to posts with a podcast in them, and possible an add on to generate a RSS feed for itunes to use to grab that file and update their copy of it.

basically
1) word press. most universal blog software. install it. (speaking of which makes me want to start a blog)
2) category just for the podcast posts
3) post the video as the first thing in that post (I believe there are addons to embed it for you. I know there are for audio)
3) use the RSS feed thingie to crate a feed for the podcast post only category
4) submit that RSS feed url to itunes.

OK I figured it out.

I found this really nice plugin for Wordpress called 'Podpress' and it does everything for me.

The native format is usually MP4 or M4V by the way .

My main thing was making the RSS stuff and adding it to iTunes but I figured it out, I'll do it later.
