I'm actually on an i5 right now since I'm using my fiance's laptop which has an i5 in it. It's not so bad. ;-)

My desktop is an i5 also - works for me No real need for an i7 (handbrake can just be left to run for as long as it takes on veryslow, and that's the only real thing I need CPU horsepower for!)
