the computer im on rite now (athlon xp 1900+) with three fans is running at 77 celcius an rising. wtf do i do? it restarts randomly!!!

Shut it down and check the CPU fan, make sure it's running right and has thermal paste.

i dont use thermal paste and i get pretty good temps, i think that thermal paste is a hoax, metal conducts heat when touching metal, not transfering thru a gel.

Can you check the speed of your fan?

If the fan is on, then it's ok unless it's turning real slow. What you need to do now is to take off the side panel to your case and touch the heatsink. If it burns you, then damn, you need to get the CPU out of there and reapply thermal grease/pad on it or replace everything all together with some new aftermarket cooler.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.. none at all. I took a CPU from 90C down to 35C by using thermal paste.

$10 for a good one.
