huh. I have not. I have the original pac-man cartridge for the 400/800 and I cannot see any difference between it and the arcade one. I guess computer gaming has always been better than consoles.

Pac-Man on the Atari 2600. If I get a chance, I'll make a video next time I hook up my Atari. It's slow and since there could only be so many sprites on the screen, the alternated between cycles.

I still need to setup my 800XL. I will definitely try out Pac-Man when I do. I'll have to check out Star Raiders too. I'm currently lacking a display.

Just use a RF box or rewire it to S-video.

The 800XL has terrible compatibility with programs. There are several I have that don't work with it.

cannot believe you haven't played star raiders though? That game was pure epicness. Only 3D game I ever remember playing on the atari.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Raiders

This basically explains it. IMO, it is among the best games ever.

Go to goodwill and get an old pos crt for like $15.

Or you could pick one up at a garage sale.

I really want a game cabinet to put this old destroyed atari 400 in. That would be epic.

This will work with your LCD right?

Nope, my 24" LCD is DVI, VGA, HDMI. I'm going to have to dig around. I'll probably grab a Commodore display.
