Default Helping a friend with Cancer

My mother has a very close friend who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Do any of you know of a book or something that will help inspire this friend?

Here. I'm thinking of a book that will help this friend. Sort of like this:

I honestly don't think that reading a book reminding them that they have cancer is going to help.

My dad has been reading a lot of those books about the people who talk about life.

Well, books that have a psychological effect that help reminds the person, with the advice of proffessionals, that they need to keep fighting and why and so on.

My uncle has lung cancer
But don't get them any books or anything.
TRY TO KEEP THEIR MIND OFF IT.
Talk about your interests, take them places, but try to avoid the cancer topic.

He unfortunately died last year around this time.. though he is an amazing man.

Yeah, didn't he make the ALICE GD program?

I can definitely agree with everyone above. Try to take their minds off of it. But don't try too hard; Just act like they don't have cancer.

IMO, just keep there spirits up, make them laugh, make them enjoy there time here, and tell them not to worry, modern science can do much more then you would ever think. And also, dont just make them laugh becuase u want them to, laugh with them, enjoy your time, tell stories, make them remember the good days, and forget the bad ones
