HD-DVD sub $100!!

I'm tempted. My computer screen isnt quote 1080p, but this would be nice. I would really like an HD-DVD burner, and cheaper blank media, but the chances of that are slim.

how isnt your computer 1080p? if your screen can handle 1280x1024 than its probably 1080p capable. also unless your monitor has an HDMI input, or that player has a DVI\VGA output, it will expensive to hook them up.

also my belief is that blu-ray will win for 1 reasons. blu ray disks are going to be able to get bigger, and bigger, hd-dvd are capped since they still use a red laser which is much bigger. eventually hd-dvd's will run out of space, then it will all go downhill from there

No blu-ray is WAY to expensive. And they dont allow porno, which is a huge part of the market.
I just looked at walmarts website, and its $229. So idk what the deal is. I think I need an internal one if I get one. I will have to go with this when it gets cheaper. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136133&Tpk=hd-dvd
Or if I ever get a 360, get the VGA cable, and the hd-dvd player for 360.
Just realised that HD-dvd drive is cheaper on newegg than ebay... Little extra cash option there... Too much to spend tho.

true, but the prices will drop, HD-DVD's will start having to come out with 2 disk sets, and blu ray will flourish.

also i think a normal DVD will be enough for some porn, i really doubt it matters weather or not it is in HD
