Thats a dead end crossing!!! or a Very bad switch. What is really happening is the one track is still in use and the other isn't. The one not in use has been cut back and abandoned in place. At some time in the future it may be used again. Thats why it wasn't all picked up. In the town where i lived we had one like that. B&O had one and N&W had the other track they crossed just like that. Don't know if they still do or not....

My joke went over your head again Dan.

I meant a road crossing the railroad tracks.

Celery There is something screwy with the weather reports. The one i saw this morning don't even come close to what is what they said this evening. Nice weather warm and warmer nights with a chance of rain Friday and Saturday. Then more nice weather next week. Anyway, sorry about that. Don't know where that forecast was for but i hope they didn't screw it up where there is bad weather...

I don't trust the weather outlook. It can change at the last minute.

The best weather predictor is your window. Open it and stick your hand out.

Somewhere i have a picture of a special stone that is a weather stone. Things like shadow, sunny, no shadow, cloudy. Wet, rain, white, snow. Can't remember the rest. But alot of truth to it.
