Default Haha to Apple once again.....Verizon Wireless open source

Apple thinks they can force you to sign up with one company to use their iPhones? Ha, not happening in Europe. Caught under German law, that makes it illegal for retailers to force customers to buy one product (in this case an airtime agreement) in order to obtain another. Hence, a lot of unlocked iPhones!!! Wish we had that here in the US. The price is driven way down because of that.

I say, "burn" in Steve Jobs face. Thank you Mercedes (because it's German, that's the first thing that popped in my head).

In other cell phone news, Verizon is the best. Forget AT&T. Don't know if you guys heard, but Verizon Wireless are pulling an initiative to allow open sourcing of their network. Any third party company or software/hardware developers in the future will be able to adapt their apps and other capabilites to the Verizon Wireless network giving their customers unlimited potential of their cell phone use. Another blow to AT&T. Compeition. God I love it. Thanks Google (they're the ones that fueled this competition).

I'm glad I live in a Verizon dominant area.

Although Verizon has been a pain for me in the past.. I'm glad I've stuck with them overall.

Not really to many issues.. and great coverage.

I have verizon and it's pretty good. Although I have one complaint, when they reflash the phones with their OS, it doesn't allow for bluetooth PC-Phone file transfer. That means I pay $3.00 for music ringtones when I could have them for free.

Only bought one though and I'm keeping it for a while, cause I'm a cheapy.

Just use the USB cable and this program:
http://www.bitpim.org/

You can put any song as your ringtone with it.

I don't want to buy a USB cable, they charge like 15 bucks when I could do it for free like my roommate and his Alltel Nokia (I think). But I didn't like Alltel that much.

In my area, I can get full coverage on sprint, AT&T, and verizon, and US cellular. AT&T is the biggest which is why I will probably stick with them, plus they are a bit cheaper.
