It is, but, from playing it, its very hit and miss...

Its new version is buggy so shouldn't really be used.

I've been asked to download the last revision and a mod called RF 2.0 from the forums:
http://www.fretsonfire.net

The only difference from the old to the new really is the fact it hasn't got Hammer On's and Off's, but those are buggy on the new version to the extent where its almost unplayable.

The old version works slightly better, but its too accurate in the sense that if you miss it by even a milisecond or something, you don't get the note.

They really need to sort that out to make it more playable.

Hmm...I wonder when you can just buy the guitar itself.

Supposedly, they have 2 versions of the same guitar.

One with the extra attachment next to the power cord at the bottom, and one with it on the side:

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/03/ru...uitar-hero-ii/

The one with it on the side, has been reported to have issues over time, for instance problems with the whammy bar, yet, the one with it on the bottom hasn't had any issues.

I have no idea why they'd release two slightly different versions of the same guitar...

Doesn't help that I have the one that is supposedly buggy, but I haven't encountered any issues so far with it...

Has anyone here?
