Tigerdirect has tons of refurbished tom toms and Garmins for <$100. We have a Garmin and a Mio, and both are very good, but the Garmin is definitely better.

Look for Text to speech so it announces street names. Very helpful in big cities where there might be two intersections right next to each other.

I just bought this one out of tons of research:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ef=oss_product

I really wanted a gps with lane assist but really wanted a garmin.. I'll get to test it out when my car is out of the shop.

Yes. My friend got a Tom Tom from Tigerdirect...can't remember how much he bought it for, but he got it for a good deal.

TomTom FTW! It's pretty much standard in the UK.
