so what is a google spider?

It is caching this website and adding it to its index ready for you to search. That is how sites get into google

Yeah, even my simple Greathanc Forums has had a couple of Google Spiders. MSN needs a system more like Google; as another Search Engine - not replacing the current one which is very good for good sites; just not more general and every site.
