Uh...yeah...Just like the 8600GT is much slower than the 7800GT.

@ Defcon - I doubt it. The 8400 isn't really for gaming.

so why get a 7600gt when u cud get a 6800?

It's not for gaming,but my parents PC (2.66Ghz percore,1gb ram,Vista,8400GS) Runs Dirt,On low settings,but its playable.

Im Pretty sure the 8400GS Is the Equiv to the ATI Radeon 9200.

well, i've been playing DIRT and it's pretty cool so far. can only run at low settings though or get real bad lag. maybe i'll try some of the other suggestions as i get some more time. thanks for the suggestions. i really do want to build a core 2 duo system that would run this stuff good,,i would if i had the money, but it will have to wait.
