A good place for file hosting?

Does anyone know a good place to host files like all kinds of files like music files and text and all that - not just photos.... oh and for free too

http://youtube.com allows you to upload videos and also embed them
http://tinypic.com allows you to upload photos
http://fileho.com allows you to upload a file of any size and then you can share the link. http://rapidshare.com is the most popular but is more restricted
