GeekSquad Fails Computer Repair Test

Think about it this way...

how many people on this forum have started their own home repair business?

how many succeeded? of those that did succeed, it was the ones with the proper and relevant experience and knowledge that were able to make a proper go of it.

those that don't have the proper experience and knowledge to fix a PC in a persons home for them are the ones who can't start their own business and who can't take all the money that the customer get charged. instead they end up working for the geek squad.

logically, if you could fix computers and you could charge $50 an hour for the time you spent fixing them, you would charge that and take that money to the bank. you wouldn't go work in a store where the customer is charged the same amount, you're doing the same work to fix the problem, but seeing less than half the money...

(of course there are always those who can't start their own business, but do have the knowledge who may be working for the geek squad).

generally though, nobody is going to aspire to work for the geek squad, it'll be a job that people get to earn a wage. not a job that they get because they are extraordinarily passionate or knowledgeable about computers.

before anybody tells me that they work for geek squad and know what they are doing and take pride in their work etc... there are, (of course) exceptions to every rule.
Rohan is an exception. He changed my opinion towards GeekSquad.
