how does ubuntu run on that machine its on ? its just i was thinking of installing it on a few comuters that are a bit old

It's pretty decent. Better than Windows XP.

Actually muz, I suggest you try Xubuntu 8.04.1.

It was designed for older computers.

yep. If I had time and desire to learn Linux I'd totally have that on my machine.

and I know its pretty easy, I've used it, but there are some things that are weird for a windows man to get used to.

i agree with having multiple OS's! I'm running XP/Hardy Heron on my laptop.

I truly like Hardy Heron better, though.
