Default free upgrade to 64bit???

I am thinking of adding another 2 gigs of ram to my computer but it will need to have 64bit windows. Do you know if theres a way to get vista 64bit and use the same license key as the 32bit or will I have to buy vista again?

AMD Phenom II x6 1045T @ 2.7 Ghz, 8Gb Corsair Vengeance Ram, crucial M500 240GB SSD, 500GB WD

you would have to purchase a 64bit version of windows I believe. M$ does have an upgrade option I think thats built into windows that you can upgrade your OS. I believe this would be cheaper than buying it from a store, you may want to look into that.
